In Rožnov, Penzion Forman and Anděl guesthouse are both small places, but they aim at a different guest. Forman is the budget choice with a spa around the corner; Anděl is a pricier family guesthouse with a café, a private sauna and higher ratings. Here is how they differ, so you can choose more easily. I write about Anděl with a bias, I admit that, but the figures and facts about Forman are left as they are publicly available.

Price and comfort
Forman plays mostly on price. It is a thrifty stay with mountain-view rooms and breakfast included. If the lowest possible bill for the night is your priority, it makes sense. In reviews, though, comfort comes out lower, and some guests mention old mattresses.

Wellness: a big pool, or privacy
At Forman the advantage is the paid spa right next door, with an indoor pool, saunas, fitness and massages. If you want a big pool and a classic wellness setup, that is handy.
Anděl goes the other way. Our sauna is private; you book it just for yourselves, two to four people, with prosecco and bathrobes to borrow. No shared crowd, just you and the quiet. It is not a pool complex, and it does not try to be.
Guest ratings and the café
This is where the difference is biggest. Anděl has 9.2/10 on Booking.com and 4.8/5 from 461 Google reviews, plus first place among Rožnov guesthouses on TripAdvisor. Forman has 7.4/10 from 192 reviews on Booking.com. Both numbers are a guide and change over time, but Anděl is rated higher over the long run.
On top of that, on our ground floor you will find a café with specialty coffee and homemade cakes, including vegan and gluten-free, and the biggest kids’ play corner in town. Breakfast is included and made from local ingredients.
