Pools, or a private sauna

This is where the difference shows most, and it is fair to say it straight: you will not find a pool with us. After its 2023 renovation, ibis has indoor and outdoor pools and a sauna. If you travel with kids and water is the main draw, it is the clear choice.

Anděl goes the other way. Our sauna is private; you book it just for yourselves, two to four people. Add a carafe of water, prosecco and bathrobes to borrow. No crowd, just you and the quiet. It is not a pool complex, and it does not try to be.

A chain, or a family

Ibis Styles belongs to Accor, so you get exactly the predictable standard you know from other hotels in the network. For many people that is an advantage: you know what you are getting. The balcony rooms and the in-house restaurant fit that too.

Anděl is the opposite world. You are welcomed by the family who run the place themselves, and it shows. Instead of a hotel routine you get a homely touch, and instead of a front desk someone who can tell you where to go on a trip. Some prefer a chain, some prefer this.

Both places have reviews they need not be shy about. Anděl has 9.2/10 on Booking.com and 4.8/5 from 461 Google reviews, plus first place among Rožnov guesthouses on TripAdvisor. Food and café

With us, breakfast is part of the stay and made from local ingredients. On the ground floor you will also find a café with specialty coffee and homemade cakes, including vegan and gluten-free. It also has the biggest kids’ play corner in town. A large chain hotel will not offer that, and for many guests it is the reason they come back.
