At the Anděl guesthouse, breakfast is always included in your stay. We make it fresh every morning and it is meant just for our overnight guests, with no surcharge and nothing to order ahead. In the morning the table is set with fresh bread and pastries, something warm, something sweet and something savoury, and alongside it specialty coffee from the QB roastery.

We believe a good breakfast sets the tone for the whole day in the mountains, so it is something we take seriously. Below you will find exactly what we prepare in the morning, how it works here and what we can do if you are on a special diet.

Is breakfast included in your stay?

Yes. When you book a room with us, breakfast is automatically part of the price. Room prices start at 2,000 CZK for two people per night, and both breakfast and parking right by the guesthouse are always included, not added as a surcharge at the end. So in the morning there is nothing to settle at reception and nothing to add up: you come to the table and have your breakfast.

Along with breakfast, the room price also includes free parking at the property and Wi-Fi. And because the price is per room for two people, not per person, you know in advance exactly what you will pay. Breakfast is not a line item to keep an eye on, it belongs to your stay just as much as your room key.

One thing we will say plainly: we serve breakfast only to our overnight guests. We do not hold a public breakfast or brunch, that is not something you will find here. During the day, though, our café is open to everyone, daily from 11:00 to 20:00, where you can enjoy specialty coffee and homemade cake.

What will you find for breakfast?

We are not a big hotel buffet, we are a family guesthouse with nine rooms, so in the morning we go for honest quality rather than quantity. On the table you will usually find:

• fresh bread and pastries, plus something sweet and something savoury,
• something warm, so you set off into the mountains nicely warmed up,
• specialty coffee from the QB roastery, the same one we pour in the café,
• tea, and a little something for the children too.

We vary the breakfast with the day and the season, so it never gets dull even over several nights. We mention the coffee on purpose. Plenty of guesthouses can manage breakfast but fob off the morning coffee with a machine. Here you get the same specialty coffee in the morning as the guests in the café during the day, the very same one we carefully prepare from the QB roastery.

Can you manage a gluten-free, vegan or lactose-free breakfast?

Yes. On a gluten-free diet, vegan, or intolerant to lactose? Our pastry chef bakes gluten-free, vegan and lactose-free, so we can take care of your breakfast. Just one request: let us know in advance when you book, so we have time to prepare everything calmly. Her homemade cakes are waiting in the café in the afternoon too, by the way, and there we bake in all of these variations as well.

What time is breakfast?

We are happy to fit the breakfast time around your plans. Want to set off early for the ridges up towards Radhošť, or take your time in the morning? We will arrange it when you check in. If you are heading out early on a hike and the usual time would not work, tell us the day before and we can arrange an earlier breakfast too. Check-out is by 10:00, so you can enjoy a relaxed breakfast and set off rested and well fed, whether you are heading a few minutes on foot to the open-air museum or further on to Pustevny.

A calm breakfast, even with children

The Beskydy offer plenty of kilometres and plenty to see, but you enjoy the best of it on a full stomach. Whether you are heading for Pustevny, up Radhošť, or taking a gentler day on the cycle path along the Bečva, a proper breakfast in your legs makes it all easier. Here you eat a good breakfast in the morning, enjoy a good coffee and set off with a smile.
