A romantic weekend in Valašsko is not about luxury, but about calm and privacy. I have picked five guesthouses where couples find their own hot tub, a sauna just for themselves, or simply quiet by the river. For each I give the real rating and who it suits. A guesthouse in Horní Bečva with its own hot tub, spa facilities and a terrace. The overall rating on Booking.com is 8.8/10, but couples rate it noticeably higher at 9.4, and it has around 140 “very good” ratings on Google. It suits couples who want wellness close at hand with the mountains out the window. The hot tub and private spa are the main draw here.
2. Penzion a restaurace Staré časy (Horní Bečva)
The highlight here is the outdoor whirlpool “under the stars” and a pearl bath. Booking.com lists 9.6/10, but that is from just 44 reviews, so the sample is smaller than at big hotels. There is a playground on the grounds too, so the place handles a mix of couples and families. For a romantic evening in the whirlpool under the open sky, it is one of the prettiest choices around.
3. Penzion Anděl (Rožnov pod Radhoštěm)
Our family guesthouse on the edge of Rožnov by the river, a few minutes from the open-air museum. For couples we have a private sauna just for the two of you (or up to four), with prosecco and robes, no shared operation. Add our own café with specialty coffee and homemade cakes (vegan and gluten-free too) and breakfast included. Our ratings are verified: Booking 9.2/10, Google 4.8/5 from 461 reviews and #1 among guesthouses in Rožnov on TripAdvisor. We do not have the highest score in this five, but for a calm, cosy romantic stay with a sauna for two we are a strong choice.
4. Villa Rosenaw (Rožnov pod Radhoštěm)
A reconstructed Secession villa with its own restaurant and garden, boutique and romantic. On Booking.com it has 9.4/10 (and even 9.8 on Hotely.cz), so it is among the best-rated in Rožnov. 5. Penzion U Bečvy (Karolinka)
A quiet riverside guesthouse with a garden, grill and bikes to borrow. On Booking.com it has 9.3/10 from 87 reviews, with cleanliness and staff both at 9.7. It suits couples who mainly want calm and nature within reach, without big wellness. Karolinka is a starting point for Velké Karlovice and the ridges.
