In Rožnov, Villa Rosenaw and Anděl guesthouse are two different places, even though both are small and personal. Rosenaw is a restored Secession villa with a tower, garden and its own restaurant, styled for luxury and romance. Anděl is a family guesthouse with a café, a kids corner and a private sauna. Let us be honest. Villa Rosenaw has 9.4/10 on Booking.com, we have 9.2/10. It is a touch higher and there is no point dancing around it. Rosenaw earns praise for its food, service and the romantic feel of the Secession villa, and guests value that. We have 9.2/10 on Booking.com, 4.8/5 from 461 Google reviews and first place among Rožnov guesthouses on TripAdvisor. Both numbers are excellent, ours just is not the highest in town. The gap is small, and each place aims at a slightly different guest.

Romance, or family comfort

This is where you see why the two are hard to compare head to head. Rosenaw is a boutique villa with a tower, garden, restaurant and bar, air-conditioned rooms and a focus on luxury romance for two. If you are planning a trip just for the two of you and want to be pampered, that makes sense.

Anděl goes another way. We are a family guesthouse, and yes, there is a private sauna for 2 to 4 people with prosecco and bathrobes. Above all, though, we think about families: our café downstairs has the biggest kids corner in town, so parents can have a coffee in peace while the children have something to do.

Food, café and price

Rosenaw has its own restaurant and bar, and guests praise the food. With us, breakfast is part of the stay, and on the ground floor you will find a café with specialty coffee and homemade cakes, including vegan and gluten-free. Add free parking right by the house and rooms at 2000 to 2700 CZK a night for two with breakfast. Romantic boutique luxury usually costs more, and that is fine, it just helps to know it in advance.
